The Story Behind The Studio

Be Yoga Fit Studio is the realization of a lifelong vision shared by Beth and Christine, two friends who reconnected after 26 years on opposite coasts to create a sanctuary for health, wellness, and community. Their shared passion for yoga and personal empowerment brought them together to establish a space where people of all backgrounds could discover the transformative benefits of yoga and mindfulness.

Beth Shaw’s remarkable journey laid the foundation for the studio’s mission. She began practicing yoga at the age of six, using meditation and guided imagery to overcome migraines, and her passion for fitness blossomed at 15 through weight training and nutrition studies. Teaching yoga since 1993, Beth launched YogaFit in the mid-90s, which has grown into the world’s largest yoga, mind-body education company, training millions globally. Her work spans continents, including teaching in Saudi Arabia, Japan, and India, and authoring four bestselling books on health and wellness.

Together, Beth and Christine have created a space where ancient yoga traditions meet modern innovation, fostering a community rooted in balance, strength, and personal growth.
